Welcome to Culturally Naija

Houston holds an extraordinary population of Nigerian residents in the United States, who do not only excel in their various occupations, but also contribute massively to the city’s economy. But just like any other big community, sometimes an infinitesimal negative news report might stereotypically suppress its greatness. Thus the vision, values, and objectives of Culturally Naija becomes imperative.

My name is Jane Udoewa, and I am the founder and CEO of Culturally Naija – The Pride of Nigerians in the Diaspora. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a board and community of partners as we foster strategies to effectually achieve our organizational mission, vision, and objectives.

Culturally Naija was composed as a not-for-profit entity to showcase the TRUE Nigerians in the United States, address their social, political, and economic needs, and sustain both their potentials and prospects.

I am also proud to state that as an irrevocable vision, we showcase the richness of Nigeria, its people and culture to Houston, to generate immeasurable opportunities for Nigerian residents.

It is therefore my pleasure to officially welcome you to our domain.

With all respect and prostration, I am equally inviting you, to join us as we create awareness among the Nigerian populace regarding relevant civic, social, and economic matters that affect their livelihoods. It is indeed a civic duty as Nigerians, to join us as we strategize on creating positive images of Nigerians in the U.S., to ultimately suppress the negative stereotypes of Nigerians in the media.

Furthermore, I am looking forward to hearing from you as we address head-on, the bigger issues facing the Nigerian community in the United States. Thank you.
